🟢search_news(query, group, since, limit)
Search the stories in the Observatory's published issues (daily and weekly, the last year). Returns the matching stories, best first: headline, summary, source, the original's address, and the story's own address on the Observatory's site. The query takes web-search syntax: words, "a phrase", -word, or.

Search the Book: every note the Observatory's desks have written since late September 2026, each a story read, checked and summarized from one or more sources, many of which never reached an issue. Returns the matching notes, best first: headline, summary, type, tags, desk, source, the original's address, the date, and the credibility label when the check gave one. Same query syntax as search_news.
