The most a lawyer may charge on one award under a statutory or agency fee limit: Social Security (the lesser of 25% and the current dollar cap), the Federal Tort Claims Act (20% administrative, 25% after suit), VA, workers' compensation sliding scales and medical-malpractice or contingency scales where the dataset has them. Returns the dollar limit, the formula, who approves the fee, the statute or rule with a quote and the day it was read. Rules with no number come back with no figure and say why. Arithmetic on the published limit only.
