🟢list_companies(segment, query)
List the AI and semiconductor companies tracked by Silicon Floor, optionally filtered by segment or by a name/ticker search. Start here when you do not know the exact ticker.

}🟢get_company(symbol)
Everything known about one company in one call: price (with its market's session: open or closed, last close, next open; `listedOn` for a recent listing), performance, 52-week range, trend, SEC-filed fundamentals, balance sheet (cash, operating cash flow, runway, share count and dilution), risk (beta against the sector with its r², historical volatility and its one-year rank), FINRA short interest (positions at the latest settlement, a year of history) and FINRA short volume. Every figure carries the date of the data it comes from. The fundamentals and the balance sheet come from the company's own XBRL filings rather than a data vendor's summary; prices, performance and risk from market data; short interest and short volume from FINRA.

}🟢screen_companies(segment, minRevenueGrowth, minGrossMargin, minOperatingMargin, maxPriceToSales, ...)
Filter the tracked universe on growth, margins, valuation, size, trend or segment, and sort by any of them. Use this to answer 'which AI companies grow above 40% with a gross margin above 60%' in one call instead of walking the list. A company whose filtered figure does not exist (not filed, or a ratio between two currencies) is listed apart in `notComparable` with the reason — it is not below your threshold.

}🟢get_ownership(symbol, limit, moves, movesLimit, movesOffset)
Holders of a company, rebuilt from the SEC filings themselves (Schedule 13D/G, Form 13F, and the Forms 3, 4 and 5 that directors, officers and 10% owners file themselves). Each holder carries the accession number of the filing that declares it. Total declared ownership is given as TWO BOUNDS, never one number: two managers can report the same shares and the filings do not say which. The low bound counts once every position that the filings themselves show another manager may also report (an included manager that files its own 13F, or one that cannot be identified); the high bound adds every declaration. Report the range, not a single figure. The high bound can exceed 100%: shares lent to short sellers are declared by the lender and again by the buyer, a sub-adviser and its client can both report the same shares, and a 13G counts shares obtainable from convertibles or warrants. A 13F table copied into another filer's report is counted once. Always check `coverage`: when it is incomplete, the totals are a floor and the remainder is NOT float. `funds` lists the mutual funds and ETFs that hold the shares, from their own Form N-PORT reports: the same shares are inside their managers' 13F, never add them. For a reference ETF (SMH, QQQ, IWM), `etfHoldings` is the other side: the tracked companies inside the fund and their weight, from the fund's own N-PORT report. Directors, officers and 10% owners in office are counted in the holders and the totals as well (source "Form 4", their declared role in `insider`), once each: a joint filing with a fund, lines held through an entity already listed, the same shares declared by a spouse, or a person whose Schedule 13D/G is more recent are not added again; overlaps the filings cannot settle (family companies named differently by two relatives) sit between the low and high bounds. For directors, officers and 10% owners, `changeVsPrevious` is their movement since the `quarterlySnapshot`, on the shares counted here (`previousAsOf`: the filing that described their holding then); those who fell below the naming threshold since are in `insidersMovedBelowNamingThreshold`. `insiders` lists all of them with the shares each declared after their latest Form 3, 4 or 5 (the filing is linked) — already counted above, never add them again. Each holder and insider carries `holder`: pass it to get_holders for the detail — for a person, each stake broken down into shares held, restricted shares and options. `history` gives every quarter since the end of 2019 from the 13F filings (managers declaring the stock, shares, percent of the company at that date as an upper bound, value, stock pickers' part), and a 13F holder's `heldSince` the first quarter of its current unbroken run of declarations (`orEarlier`: since the start of the history). `moves` treats every change of a position as an event between two declarations of the same kind by the same holder: the 13F moves of the quarter (every manager that entered, increased, reduced or exited — `moves: "sales"` lists every reduction and exit), each Schedule 13D/G of the period with its nature (`crossed` 5%, `up`, `down`, `below` 5% — no longer required to report, NOT a sale —, `out`), and insiders since the snapshot. A 13F line whose value contradicts its share count is never read as a sale: that manager has no move (`unreadableManagers`).

Recent SEC filings for a company, classified (earnings, 8-K item, insider buy or sell, offering…) with the accession number and a link to the filing on sec.gov. Insider filings carry amounts and the role of the filer, never a person's name. Dated by acceptance time, not by filing date.

Dividend picture: yield, per-share amounts, growth, and whether cash flow actually covers the payout. Payments are observed in the tape, not taken from a promise. Projections never exceed measured coverage. Without a symbol, returns the highest-yielding payers across the sector. A company outside the ranking (a foreign issuer, for instance) returns the payments observed in its price history. Estimates, never advice.

}🟢what_changed(since, symbol, detail, limit)
Everything the system observed and dated since a given moment: SEC filings accepted, figures a company RESTATED, technical signals logged, and institutional ownership declarations. Use this instead of diffing two snapshots yourself — a snapshot cannot tell you WHEN something appeared. Ideal for a daily brief, a watcher, or catching up after being away. A price move is not an event here: it is a state, and get_company reports it. By default returns `highlights`: the whole window ranked by materiality — restatements, earnings, material agreements, offerings and sizeable insider buys first, technical signals last — with repeated items on one line (a signal across companies in a session, a company's insider filings of one kind with their total amount, a company's 13F declarations). Ownership declarations say what they change: a Schedule 13D/G carries `move` (crossed 5%, up, down, below 5% — no longer required to report, NOT a sale —, out) with `previousPercent` and `changeVsPrevious`; a 13F row carries `moves`, what that manager did with the tracked companies since the previous quarter (exits named, reductions, increases, dollars sold and bought) — a 13F never names what it sold, it leaves it out. `complete: false` means a source had more than was read: the summary is complete after `coversFrom` — narrow `since` or pass `symbol`. Pass detail: 'events' for the raw chronological list.

}🟢get_market_overview
State of the AI and semiconductor complex right now: breadth, the day's biggest moves, how each segment is doing, and the regime the desk reads. Use it to answer 'how is the sector doing' in one call. `market` says whether the US session is open; when it is closed, the day's moves are those of the last close.

}🟢get_market(view, range, sector, date, points)
The AI and semiconductor universe as one market, over time: combined market cap, the weight of each segment or company, and traded dollar volume, session by session for up to a year (weekly points over five years), plus the map of one session (every company's market cap, volume and day change). Use it for 'how has NVIDIA's weight changed', 'which segment grew the most this year', 'where is the volume going'. Market cap of a past day = that day's close, adjusted for share splits only (the price that traded), × shares outstanding at that date (from SEC filings); the last point is today's figure. Built once per session after the close. Amounts in US dollars, weights as fractions. `enteredOn`: first session of a company listed during the period (an IPO, not a data gap).

}🟢get_holders(holder, list, period, order, limit)
The AI and semiconductor universe read by holder. Without `holder`: the largest institutional holders from SEC Form 13F (value held, whole 13F book, share of the book placed in the universe, top segments, net move since the previous quarter), the universe companies that invest in each other (NVIDIA, Alphabet…), and the sector rotation (bought, sold, net by segment, valued at current-quarter prices, on holders present at both quarters). Holders that file no 13F but declare a stake above 5% in Schedule 13D/G — individuals (Elon Musk, Peter Thiel…), companies holding a stake — are listed apart (`list: 'declarants'` or `'individuals'`), valued at the quarter's reference prices. With `holder` — a key from a list, a name ('Vanguard', 'Elon Musk', 'Jensen Huang') or a director's SEC CIK — one holder in detail. A fund or an investor: positions by company (shares, value, weight, share of the company's capital, move, `heldSince` — the first quarter of its unbroken run of 13F declarations), sectors, flows, Schedule 13D/G declarations, and `history`: what it declared in the universe every quarter since the end of 2019; `performance`: what its declared AI-stock portfolio returned, quarter after quarter (the portfolio filed at the start of each quarter, held unchanged; never the change in declared value, which mixes prices with purchases), with its rank among active managers; `follow`: its page and an Atom feed of its filings. `list: 'performance'` ranks active managers by that return over the last quarter, a year, three or five years (`period`), best or worst (`order`), against SMH. A person (or a 13D/G declarant): one page for everything they file — `breakdown` splits each stake at the last price into shares held (and how: own name, trusts, companies), restricted ("bonus") shares, options (exercise price, expiry) and other rights, per the filings' own words and never guessed (`undetailed` otherwise); `insiderRoles` and `insiderFilings` give their Forms 3, 4 and 5. A person can have two true figures for one company: the shares held (Form 4) and what the SEC counts as theirs (Schedule 13D/G, which adds options exercisable within 60 days and unvested shares that vote): say which one you quote. Entities of a house are summed; a line whose value contradicts its share count is set aside; a value filed in thousands is scaled. `coverage.complete` false means a floor, not a market fact.

}🟢get_insider_trading(quarter, limit)
What the executives, directors and founders of the tracked AI and semiconductor companies bought and sold in a quarter, from their SEC Form 4 filings: dollars sold and bought, by how many people and companies; the biggest sellers and buyers, each with role, company, trades, dates, the shares still held at the quarter's end and their value, and the filing; the companies most sold and most bought by their own insiders; sales by role (CEOs, CFOs, other executives, directors, 10% owners); month by month; and the people who filed their first Form 3 (new CEOs, CFOs, directors). Default: the last closed quarter (a Form 4 is due two business days after the trade); `quarter: 'current'` gives the quarter in progress, to date; quarters from Q3 2024. Counted: purchases and sales (Form 4 codes P and S, in the market or privately) by people filing on their own behalf, at the price they report, shares held through their trusts and family vehicles included. Not counted: grants, option exercises, shares withheld for taxes, gifts; funds that report through a director they appoint (Silver Lake at Dell, LS Power at NRG) and shares changing hands between insiders or their own accounts at the same price on the same day — both given apart, in dollars; shares a spouse also reports count once. Many large sales follow pre-arranged trading plans (Rule 10b5-1): each filing says so. For one company's insiders and what each holds, use get_ownership; for one person, get_holders with the `holder` value returned here.

}🟢get_fund_flows(quarter, limit)
What hedge funds and institutions did with the tracked AI and semiconductor stocks in a quarter, from every SEC Form 13F: filings read, managers, value declared; the net flow of managers present at both quarters (bought, sold, stock pickers apart from index funds, market makers and wealth platforms); where the money went by segment; the companies most bought and sold (net value and share of capital, the biggest buyer or seller of each); what stock pickers bought and sold; the biggest moves of named funds; new big bets (new lines weighing 5% to 50% of a portfolio); positions sold in full; which stocks gained or lost the most holders; and whose declared AI picks returned the most over the quarter. Default: the latest quarter whose 13F deadline has passed (45 days after quarter end); a quarter still being filed returns its first filers (`wave`). Flows are share changes valued at the quarter's price — never changes in declared value; a stock listed during the quarter has no flows. A 13F shows long positions at quarter end, filed up to 45 days later: not what a fund holds today. For one fund or person, use get_holders; for one company's holders, get_ownership.

}🟢get_financials(symbol, statement, basis)
A company's income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement as filed with the SEC in XBRL: the last 12 calendar quarters or the last 6 fiscal years, 30+ lines, with the filing behind each period. Lines computed from filed lines say how (`computed`); a null is a line the company did not file for that period: report it as unknown. Cash outflows (capex, buybacks, dividends paid) are negative. A foreign private issuer files once a year: its statements are fiscal years whatever the basis asked. Amounts are in the filing currency. For a foreign issuer that publishes its quarters only in releases filed as Form 6-K (TSMC), `releases` adds its monthly revenue, quarterly results and guidance — unaudited, and kept apart from the statements.

One figure for one company — revenue, gross profit, operating income or net income — over its last eight quarters (fiscal years for a company that files once a year), with the SEC filing behind each period AND what the company had filed before any restatement. Use this when a number matters enough to be checked or cited: it returns a permanent page address for it. A restatement is itself information: a company that revises a figure months later is worth a remark. For every line of the statements, over 12 quarters or 6 fiscal years, use get_financials.
