🟢find_rank(rank)
Everything about one German military rank (Dienstgrad): service, abbreviation, rank group, level 1-26, NATO code, pay grade and 2026 base pay, form of address, insignia, the equivalent ranks in the other services, how one gets the rank under the Soldatenlaufbahnverordnung, typical posts where bundeswehr.de states them, and the US/UK ranks with the same NATO code. Text fields are in German.

All Bundeswehr ranks of one service from lowest to highest, with abbreviation, rank group, level, NATO code and pay grade. Ranks on the same level are equal in rank (the officer candidates Fahnenjunker, Fähnrich and Oberfähnrich share a level with the rank below them).

Monthly gross base pay (Grundgehalt) in euro for a rank or a pay grade (A 3 to A 16, B 1 to B 10), per experience level (Erfahrungsstufe 1-8; B grades have none). year 2026 = payments since 1 May 2026, 2025 = 1 April 2025 to 30 April 2026. Both are advance payments (Abschlag) not yet enacted by law. Without family allowance, bonuses and deductions.
