Where the data comes from

Names, descriptions, repository and website links, package identifiers and versions all come from the public MCP Registry. So does the listing status shown beside a record — active or deprecated. That status is the Registry’s own and is labelled as the Registry’s; it is not something this site decided.

Everything else on a server page is an observation made here, and says when it was made.

What is observed

The worker acquires an exact package version, starts it without a network or credentials, completes the protocol handshake, and requests the tool list. It records the protocol version, the tools the server reports, a schema digest, how long it took, and which runner produced the result.

The verification method sets out the limits of that observation in full.

What is not claimed

Running a server is not reviewing it. MCP Measure never calls a tool, never reads a tool’s implementation, and does not assess data handling, permissions, dependencies, or security. A server that behaves well under these limits may still be unsafe, and a record here is not an assurance that it is not.

A listing is not an endorsement of the software, its authors, or its publisher, and a missing record is not an accusation. The servers indexed here belong to the people who wrote them.

Who runs it

MCP Measure is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or operated on behalf of Anthropic, the Model Context Protocol project, or any registry it reads from. It has no commercial relationship with the servers it indexes.
